Sustainability

Given the significant impact of global warming, it is vital to prioritize sustainability and renewability as responsibilities for future generations. The concepts of reusing, reducing, and recycling are no longer mere marketing terms but essential actions that must be taken. Manufacturers have a responsibility to consider both the present and the future by exploring alternative materials, processes, and systems that enhance the quality of life for future generations. Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond minimizing environmental impact during production. It permeates all aspects of our operations; from the materials we use to the packaging of our final products.

Shine Collections is committed to sustainable practices, including the use of renewable energy sources, which we believe will become the norm. Renewable energy is a powerful tool in the fight against climate change, and we must embrace it. Switching to renewable energy is a crucial step in achieving our goal of net-zero carbon. To combat climate change, we must transform how we produce and consume electricity.

Creating Responsible Products

The fashion industry has a significant impact on the planet through waste, materials, plastics, pollution, and carbon footprint. Achieving true sustainability in an industry driven by seasonal trends and newness is challenging. The jewellery industry is known for cheaply made and unethical products, with low wages for workers and the use of cheap materials to reduce costs.

However, Shine Collections is committed to conducting business differently and has always prioritized environmental consciousness and sustainable practices. We strive to be part of the solution to climate change, as younger consumers are increasingly choosing sustainability over iconic brands. Many jewellery and accessories brands are aligning with conscious consumers by using recycled metals, and ethically sourced stones, and supporting local artisans. As a manufacturer, we believe we have a unique opportunity to support independent brands in adopting sustainable practices and making a real impact in the industry.

Shine Collections is thrilled to be part of this journey. By utilizing the latest materials and manufacturing knowledge, we are working towards establishing a “green” manufacturing facility that meets the required standards for responsible jewellery production. At Shine Collections, we are deeply committed to conscious production and aim to be your trusted supplier of sustainable, high-quality jewellery and accessories. Our goal is to create jewellery that maximizes wearability and supports conscious consumption. To meet global standards for sustainable manufacturing, we are implementing small changes across all aspects of our business to ensure continuous improvement—for ourselves, our customers, and the planet.

All of our jewelry adheres to EU’s REACH chemical regulations for customer safety. Our BSCI-approved factory maintains industry-leading standards with Intertek support.

Solar Panel

Solar Panels

Solar energy is highly valued by our organization for its ability to significantly reduce energy consumption in factories. We understand the challenges faced by the industry in implementing solar panels, but we were able to successfully convert one of our factories into a 100% solar-powered facility this year. We are confident that we can meet our goal of transitioning all of our factories to solar power by 2026.

Waste Management

We segregate industrial solid waste into glass, metal, plastic, and paper for easy recycling. Water harvesting facilities are an integral part of our factory planning to conserve water and not impact groundwater levels. Effluent Treatment Plant system cleans water used in industrial processes and reduces carbon footprint by reusing it for further production or directing it into the ground to maintain water levels.

The factories carefully crush expired light bulbs before disposal to improve recycling efficiency and minimize waste. Only LED lights are used.

We prioritize recycling and reusing materials in our factory, including metal scrap, soft plastics, cards, papers, courier bags, and boxes.

Rainwater Harvesting

Rainwater Harvesting

The practice of rainwater harvesting has been used since ancient times and continues to be important in the 21st century. Shine Collections has incorporated rainwater harvesting as a necessity in all of our factories due to its economical and eco-friendly benefits.

We acknowledge the current state of our planet and the need for multiple efforts. This system offers numerous benefits and opportunities to conserve water and promote sustainability.

ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant)

Conserving water is crucial for sustainability. Shine has installed Effluent Treatment Plants in their factories to conserve water and human life. Proper water treatment is necessary for reusability, particularly in manufacturing.

Effluent Treatment Plants clean polluted water from factories before releasing it back into nature, reducing waste of this scarce resource and allowing for household use.

CNG Truck

CNG Trucks

All of our trucks run on CNG, which saves costs and benefits the environment. CNG burns cleaner than petrol and diesel, reducing carbon monoxide emissions by approximately 80%. It's time to switch to cleaner fuel alternatives for the environment and organizations.

Sustainable Materials

The importance of sustainable materials is recognized by both consumers and manufacturers. Sustainability has become an integral part of modern life and almost every industry. We must consider our impact on the planet at both individual and personal levels and begin to do our part for the environment. Recycled metals and sustainable fabrics are quickly becoming a necessity for most people. These are small initiatives that everyone can take individually, which can have an overall impact on the environment.

Recycled metals are made from natural or recycled materials, reducing harm to the environment in several ways, such as the production process. Shine aims to increase the list of sustainable raw materials used and the number of sustainable fabrics produced. We believe that as awareness of the importance of conserving the planet and choosing eco-friendly alternatives increases, there will be greater demand for these sustainable fabrics.
